Current Project
History of Minneapolis Public Schools
One of the earliest projects we did for Minneapolis Public Schools was an application that not only facilitated the archiving on countless photographs and documents, but also provided a public interface for teachers, students, parents, alumni and administrators.
Administrator Archival Interface
Our administrator interface, built on a .NET 1.0 platform, resembles a basic content management system (CMS). It provides users the ability to create, modify, and remove “facilities.” Each facility is then tied to several dynamic interfaces: a photograph gallery, a document repository, and a location time-line grid. These interfaces support multiple file types, and enable users a quick and easy way to manage archived data.
Public Interface
History of Minneapolis Public Schools visitor portal was given a retro-ish style, which we hoped would match the actual archived photographs and documents the site was providing access too. We implemented several patterned textures and a 2-toned color scheme to accomplish this feeling of simplicity and history.
